Final Report Summary: Updated LCA for regeneration waste oil to base oil

The European Waste Framework Directive (2008/98/EC) provides explicit instructions for waste oil management, prioritising options for the best environmental outcome according to the waste hierarchy. In line with this, ifeu conducted two LCA studies for GEIR in 2005 and 2018. These studies were updated in 2022 to evaluate treatment options using current market technologies and industry advancements, offering an updated perspective on waste oil treatment's environmental aspects.
